Richard & Ashley Greene
Hampton Road Farms – Inman, South Carolina
Finally. We celebrated the wedding of Ricky and Ashley. Ricky proposed to his long-time love Ashley aka his “woman” in January of 2015 – New Years Day. I was there to shoot that beautiful moment. And fast-forward to May 28, 2016… I got to shoot their gorgeous wedding. A day that Ashley told me many years ago she wanted me to shoot. It was a wonderful day. It brought all the feels that weddings tend to do.
Their families put a lot of work into this day. Easily one of the prettiest weddings to date that I have attended. From Ashley’s Aunt Amy… to Rick – Ricky’s Dad. They all put a lot of time and passion into this day. It was decorated so pretty with so many gorgeous details. They hit a home-run. The venue it took place at was breathtaking too. The owners do a fantastic job on all their preparations and decor too. And I LOVED the wedding cake. Aunt Amy said Ashley didn’t even want a cake to begin with. Just cupcakes for the guests. So they went with a “naked” cake. And if it wasn’t the coolest cake ever. So simple. Like Ashley… like Ricky.
A day that brought smiles and tears. I can honestly say as a photographer… I normally tear up once at weddings I shoot. But I cried more than once at this one. It was just a special day. A long awaited day. These two have it. They got what it takes. They have shared a lot of years together. Lot of years when the world probably told them they were too young. Lot of love and good times. Lot of highs and sad lows. But they have always remained side by side. Always shown each other respect. I’m blessed to have witnessed it all these years. It is a young couple like these two that will give marriage, commitment and love a good name for many, many years to come.
Shot this wedding over the weekend and three days later.. had all their photos completed and uploaded to their gallery. The bride and groom are on their honeymoon and what a joy for them to be able to enjoy these photographs while romancing it up in the Bahama’s!
Let’s enjoy THEIR day…
I swear these are the cutest shoes ever.
I giggled at this one. If you know Ashley. Like me.. she is a simple gal. Ball cap, tees, etc. So to see THREE people working on her… heehee. What a princess!
My favorite wedding day moment – always Daddy and Daughter. Ashley wanted a first look with her Daddy. Glad she did. Wish more brides asked for this. Beautiful moment RIGHT before they walked down the aisle.
Best friends forever and ever. Oh yeah… sisters too.
A waterworks moment above. Ricky and his Mama.
Blue Denim Band.
Ashley and Amber’s Mom.
I don’t know what it feels like to lose a Mama. Ashley does. But she also knows what it feels like to have a beautiful angel looking over her. Ashley knows and FEELS she did just exactly that on this day.
They are forever friends of mine. My sweet pals since 2008. I will always be grateful they wanted me around for all their special moments and chapters in their lives. Especially this one.
Signed, Sealed And Delivered. Cheers!
