“When I was a little girl… girls wanted to be Shirley Temple. They wanted to sing and dance like her. ” – Mama.
Love this picture too. Very fitting to share since she starred in the film about Sea Biscuit. I think she was loved all these years and now will be missed because she had that something “child stars” don’t seem to have today. She entertained. Made the world happy. She was an American gem. Yet she kept her nose clean in the years to follow. She will always be that bright film star and darling face on prints and products but also the public servant too.
Hope Hollywood toasts her a good one.
Rest in peace…
